Take Time To Give Thanks For Your Business

thanks

It’s been a rough year. Isn’t it nice to know that when you’re a Solo Pro you NEVER need to worry about being laid off again?

I think sometimes we forget to be grateful for the fact that we’re self-employed. While the ‘corporate bound’ are shaking in their cubes worrying the ax might fall at any moment or dealing with soul-sucking politics, we Solo Pros are lucky enough to be steering our own ships.

One of the main reasons Solo Pros struggle is that they forget to ‘feed’ their businesses. If you think of your business like a garden, you understand that you’ve got to plant seeds, weed and water it in order to have a regular harvest.

The very best way you can show thanks to your business is to keep it fed and watered.

Here are a few ways to show your gratitude for your business next year:

  • Get help with your website
  • Hire an assistant to take care of your marketing and administration tasks
  • Work with a coach to work out the kinks and move forward
  • Take a forward-thinking business course (beware of those taught at schools that are NOT forward-thinking – business info from the 1960′s isn’t going to help)
  • Invest in some new technology
  • Expand into giving workshops or creating products

Whatever you choose to do, be sure there is an ‘expansive’ feeling to it – not a sense of holding back. When you feel constrictive, it holds you back and keeps you small.
